DJ Tocom Rubber Settles Higher on Bargain Hunting Tocom rubber futures settle 5.8% higher on support from mostly steady Shanghai rubber, a weakening yen and bargain hunting. Both macroeconomic and fundamental worries have driven Tocom rubber down as much as 9.8% in the past two weeks causing prices now to be too low, traders say. This is particularly as current rubber prices are near Thailand rubber-production cost prices, a Singapore-based analyst says. Benchmark July rubber settles Y12.1 higher at Y222.2/kg--off the intraday high of Y223.3/kg. (
