DJ Tocom Rubber Settles Higher; Spot Month Ends Down -- Market Talk Tocom rubber futures settle 1.1% higher as the Nikkei rises and USD/JPY recovers from Thursday's losses. The spot February Tocom contract, however, ends down ahead of expiry Monday as investors liquidate positions to cut losses amid lingering concerns about weak China manufacturing data and large Chinese stockpiles, even amid the low-production season. Benchmark July rubber settles Y2.5 higher at Y226.9/kg, off the intraday high of Y227.7/kg. (
